UC Career Webinar Series

You are cordially invited to join UC Outreach and Educational Partnerships for the Talking About Career Opportunities (TACO) Tuesday webinar series. These interactive webinars are an opportunity for you, as a high school student, to learn more about various career paths and the UC resources available to support you.

Calling ALL USC MESA Seniors

Are you applying to USC?
​​Your active participation in MESA is an important consideration during the USC first-year student admissions process. USC MESA provides a list of our seniors who have applied to USC to the Office of Admissions. Please complete this form once you have submitted your application or no later than January 11, 2026. Please have your USC ID before completing the form.
The free USC Bovard Scholars program helps high-achieving rising high school seniors with financial need gain admission to and succeed at the nation's top universities. Through expert admissions and financial aid assistance, comprehensive test preparation, and personalized career exploration experiences, the program aims to transform lives and build a new generation of dynamic leaders.

Eligibility:
  • Junior in high school (11th grader) at time of application
  • Currently hold a 4.0 weighted GPA or above
  • Enrolled in Algebra II, Trigonometry or above
  • Demonstrate financial need

Summer Intensive Dates: July 13 to August 2, 2026

Application Deadline: January 16, 2026 at 5pm PT

Edison Scholars Program

For students who live in the Southern California Edison's service territory (most cities outside of the City of Los Angeles/LADWP), this is your chance to advance your education and take part in shaping a brighter future with a $50,000 college scholarship.

Eligibility:
  • Be a current high school senior with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have an SCE Customer Number from the family's SCE utility bill.
  • Plan to attend a full-time undergraduate course of student for the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Plan to major in an eligible major (e.g., STEM).

Application Deadline: January 22, 2026 at 11:59pm CT

Need help with your MESA Day project?

Join our in-person session to get help and inspiration on your MESA Day project. Sample materials and supplies will be provided; however, your team is strongly encouraged to bring your in-progress project and materials.

Date: Saturday, February 7, 2026
Time: 9:00am to 2:00pm (lunch will be provided)
Location: USC University Park Campus

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, February 3, 2026

NEDC Events Schedule 2025-2026

To inspire and prepare you for the MESA National Engineering Design Challenge project, we will launch the following:
  • Encourage students and teams to participate in the Congressional App Challenge (see All Competitions page)
  • ​MESA Day Project Academy on February 7, 2026
  • MESA Day Preliminaries (Pre-MESA Day) on March 7, 2026​
